About Corpuscularia lehmannii/Ice Plant
Ice Plant, scientifically known as Corpuscularia lehmannii, is a unique plant with thick blue-green leaves that grow in opposing pairs, each being a three-angled shape. During spring and summer, it blooms with bright yellow daisy-like flowers. Although its name may suggest otherwise, Ice Plant is not a hardy plant.
How to care for Corpuscularia lehmannii/Ice
Sun/Location: Corpuscularia lehmannii/Ice Plant can grow indoors or outdoors. Though its name is slightly misleading, it is not cold hardy succulent. Moving them indoors before frost and placing them near the window to get as much sun as possible or under artificial sunlight will help them maintain their color and shape. Unlike other soft succulents, this succulent can stand scorching sunlight without a sunshade in summer as long as you provide enough water after sunset.
Soil/Pot: Preparing a well-draining soil mix and succulent pots with drainage holes is necessary for all succulents. You can purchase a ready-to-use cactus mix or create your soil by mixing perlite and gritty rocks with a regular potting mix.
Watering: Like other succulent plants, Ice Plant can't tolerate overwatering. Be sure to use the ''soak and dry'' method to water it. Water thoroughly when the potting soil is dry. Corpuscularia lehmannii's leaves would wrinkle when underwater; in summer, water this succulent more often to avoid leaves dry to dead.
