Echeveria 'Lucila' belongs to the Crassulaceae family. Its leaves are inversely ovate and range in color from light whitish to gray-blue with red edges. The leaf surface is covered with farina. When it thrive, the leaf color is pink.

 

How to care for Echeveria 'Lucila'

Sun/Temperature: Echeveria 'Lucila' enjoys ample sunlight and can be in a sunny outdoor location. When grown indoors, place it near a window with plenty of light. The temperature is between 60°F and 75°F in Echeveria 'Lucila' favor. It's essential to avoid temperatures below 40°F to prevent frost damage.

 

Soil/Watering: Using a well-draining sandy or quartz sand mixture as soil is best. Alternatively, a specialized succulent potting mix can be used. Succulents do not like excessive watering. Typically, watering once a week is sufficient, but reduce frequency during winter. The soak and dry watering method can be employed.

 

Pot: Use a breathable pot with drainage holes to ensure water does not accumulate at the roots.

 

Propagation: Echeveria 'Lucila' can be propagated by leaf cuttings. Select healthy leaves, place them in dry callus, and then insert them into dry soil.

 

Fertilization: During the spring to early summer, succulent fertilizer can be applied monthly, diluted to half the recommended concentration.
