About Echeveria 'Melaco'

Echeveria 'Melaco' stands out because of its distinctive coloration. Due to its growing condition, the color of the succulent plant is changed, including shades of copper, plum, salmon, and chocolate brown, sometimes with a sea-green center. In deep fall and winter, the flowers of Melaco are bell-shaped and orange in color.

How to care for Echeveria 'Melaco'

Sun/Location: Like most of Echeverias, Echeveria ‘Chrissy ‘n’ Ryan’ requires indirect bright sunlight to maintain the color and shape form. It can be placed outdoors in spring and fall to get full sunlight. Shade is required in summer to avoid sunburn. In winter, protection from frost is needed.

Soil/Pot: To ensure the health of succulents, they need porous, well-draining soil to live in. The cactus soil is mixed with pumice, perlite, or gritty rocks to regular soil to provide proper drainage. Topdressing rocks can make them prettier and cleaner.

Watering: Succulent plants require little watering but don't like to sit in wet soil. The best way of watering is the soak-and-dry method. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry. Try not to pour water on the leaves in an unventilated environment, it can cause rot or fungal diseases that may kill the succulents.
