Tephrocactus articulatus var. papyracanthus, the slow-grow succulent also known as Paper Spine Cactus. The cactus has a segmented pinecone-shaped stem that stacks up to 12 inches tall. Many soft paper spines are covered with the type of succulent plant. The bell-shaped white flowers are beautiful but rare.

Sun/Location: Paper Spine Cactus needs lots of sunlight, it is ideal to grow outdoors in hot and dry areas. As a soft succulent, Tephrocactus articulatus var. papyracanthus can't tolerate frost, keep in mind to take it indoors in cold winter.

Soil/Pot: The Tephrocactus succulent can live in the well-drained cactus soil mix. A planter pot that contains at least one drainage hole is suitable for cacti. Making succulent soil for your cactus plants by adding perlites, grit and sand.
